Introduction

Freelancing sites such as Fiverr, Upwork, and PeoplePerHour are being used to train the youth in freelancing and digital skills so that they don't have to hunt for work but can instead pitch their services on these platforms and earn a substantial amount of money through freelancing. What is E-Rozgar Program in Pakistan?

This program strives to empower young people in the country. To help young people in Punjab become more employable, e-Rozgaar works hard. 25,000 people are expected to be trained in freelancing as part of the project, which also aims to open 41 training centers across Punjab, five of which would be geared solely toward women.

So far, the project has taught more than 16,000 people digital skills; 3,118 people are currently enrolled; and 32 centers are functioning across the Punjab province, in various colleges and educational institutions with appropriately equipped labs. Four of these facilities are exclusively for women. More than 230 million Pakistani rupees have been reported by alumni of the scheme, according to a sampled poll. At the district-level centers where they were selected, the selected candidates will receive three months of free training from experienced trainers in their chosen domains.

Procedure.

e-Rozgaar accepts applications from Punjabi youth who have completed their 16th year of schooling but are unable to find work because of high market demands, a saturated labor market, or a lack of relevant skills. Four times a year, or every three months, advertisements in print and on social media are used to solicit applications. 

You only have to go to the e-Rozgaar site, fill out an online application form with basic information, and then take a 30-minute test consisting of multiple-choice questions. Candidates are invited to submit their documents for physical verification at their designated centers after they have been selected from a pool of qualified applicants. Within a week of document verification, training lessons are held.

Candidates can choose from one of three domains.

• CNIC/Pakistani citizenship
• There is a limit of 35 years of age.
• At least 16 years of schooling is required.
