Introduction
The University of Punjab is Pakistan's biggest and oldest institution of higher study, having been founded in Lahore in 1882. It was the first to be founded in a region of the subcontinent with a high concentration of Muslims.

The University also maintains a summer campus in Khanaspur, which is situated in the Himalayan range close to Ayubia at a height of roughly 7,000 feet. In addition to housing research facilities, this campus serves as a gathering place for both staff and students.
Gujranwala Campus
The University has also developed its satellite campuses in Gujranwala and Jhelum. Business administration, commerce, law, and information technology are among the major academic fields offered at these institutions. These campuses are gradually adding newer fields. Aga Khan university
A nonprofit organization and part of the Aga Khan Development Network is Aga Khan University. It was established as Pakistan's first private university in 1983
It is one of the few universities in Pakistan that offers undergraduate
students access to research facilities. The institution has a research office
to direct and aid university-sponsored research. Grants are also funded by a
University Research Council through a competitive review procedure assisted by
a Grants Review Committee. Additionally, community-related health sciences
research is given special attention. AKU hosts national and international
research seminars and workshops.
Admission criteria
Students may apply for admission if they successfully complete the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) (or its equivalent) annual examination from the AKU-EB or any other recognized Board / University with a minimum aggregate of 60 percent marks in the Science Group or a minimum of 55 percent in the General Group.

NUST, also known as the National University of Sciences and Technology, was founded in 1991 and has since been recognized as one of Pakistan's top developing universities.
