Important
Tips for Preparing MDCAT:
Every
student desires to get the maximum mark on MDCAT, to get the highest marks on
this test follow the following tips:
- The syllabus for MDCAT and FSC are almost the same. Therefore, start
preparing for MDCAT while in FSC. Clear your FSC concepts.
- Don’t take too much pressure on it because it can affect your mental as
well as physical health. First of all, relax your mind and don’t panic. Take a
good diet and sleep for almost 6 hours a day.
- Time management plays a vital role in your studies. So, keep it in your
mind that don’t study blindly without a plan or time schedule. And manage your
time gently during tests.
- You need to be passionate about your goal/aim. It increases your
self-confidence.
- If you are passionate enough about your goal then remove all the
negative thoughts from your mind.
- During the preparation, take a little break from social media or
anything that can cause hindrance.
- Read past papers because it can help you a lot. After solving and
reading past papers you can understand the paper pattern and also check your
ability.
- MDCAT is all about concepts. You need to clear your concepts about every
topic and don’t do “ratta”.
- After figuring out your weaknesses, try to overcome those weaknesses.
For example, you are weak in biology or maybe you make mistakes in organic
chemistry so to overcome these mistakes or weaknesses give particular
time to these topics. Practice these topics again and again.
- Communicating is a good thing. Therefore, communicate with your teachers
and seniors because they can guide you about the test and every topic you find
difficult.
- During the preparation of this, highlight the important topics or
points. Make your own headings and subheadings. Make your own possible
questions and MCQs.
- In the end, revise the whole syllabus. It will help you identify your
mistake. And one day before the exam just revises the important topics and
those topics which you find difficult. Revising can make your concepts stronger
than before.
Personal
Suggestion:
“STUDY SMART NOT HARD”
Studying
harder is time-consuming and stressful, whereas studying smart reduces
stress, is efficient, and produces optimal results. And HOW CAN YOU STUDY SMART
RATHER THAN HARD??
Again
those tips: read and solve past papers, again and again, convert your questions
into MCQs, and start preparation while in FSC.
Conclusion:
If
you don’t need to pursue a plan B, that’s okay. You may just keep studying the
material for the MDCAT for one entire YEAR and consider yourself well-prepared
with increased chances of being accepted into an MBBS program. Whatsoever, you
choose. Just keep trying.
