Introduction to Pharm-D:

PharmD, or pharmacy doctor, is a bachelor's degree program that lasts five years. The Pakistan Pharmacy Council has endorsed and recognized this degree. In this degree, managing medications is the main focus. The fundamental idea behind this course is to have a solid understanding of which medication is best for a given ailment. The training and development provided to the students who have chosen to pursue careers in this profession enable them to produce medicines and write prescriptions for patients. One of the most desired—and even necessary—courses in the modern era is the five-year program that requires an additional six months of internship or housework to complete the degree.

Admission requirements:

The person needs to meet specific requirements to participate in the Doctor of Pharmacy program. This eligibility requirement is age-based. 

• The applicant must not be older than 25 years old at the time of application for admission.
• The student must have taken Biology, Physics, and Chemistry as his primary subjects in high school, which is the FSC in pre-medical, and must have passed this section with 60 percent or more.
• Candidates who scored less than 60% on the FSC are ineligible for the specific program. 
• Students who have taken exams through any other board, including the British board, should provide proof of their performance, and their cumulative grade point average should be at least 60%.

• F.A./F.Sc part 1 and 2 DMCs
• Certificate of Domicile.
• Personal/Parent/Guardian CNIC
• Two current photos are the size of a passport.
• Where appropriate, an Equivalence Certificate from the IBCC.

There is a total of 5 years and 6 semesters. The first year has divided into two semesters and other years have one semester.
