Introduction:

 

CSS stands for Central Superior Service. It is an entrance test for government jobs in Pakistan. After passing this CSS test you directly get the 17th scale job and with the passage of time you get a promotion and your scale increases from 17th to 21st.

What is CSS Exam?

Age limit:

The candidate must be holding B.A, BS.c. BS(Hons), or B.com equivalent qualification. Before taking an exam for CSS, students must diligently study for at least one to two years.

Passing criteria:

There is a passing criterion for CSS. The candidate needs to pass the Compulsory Subjects with a minimum of 40% marks, and Optional Subjects with 33% marks. In short, you need to get at least 50% marks to clear this test. You also clear the Viva with a minimum of 150 marks out of 300.

Syllabus

The syllabus has been modified by the Federal Public Service Commission to include new subjects. Seven Groups in total, covering a range of topics. Students can choose one subject with 200 marks or one subject with 100 marks from each group. The new FPSC syllabus will be evaluated in accordance with the current guideline. To design the ultimate bureaucracy’s organization structure, the CSS curriculum needs to be revised.

Scope/Job opportunities:

You can get jobs at Information Group, Police Service of Pakistan, Commerce and Trade group, District management Group, Foreign Service of Pakistan, Income Tex Group, Custom and Excise Group, Postal Group, Railway (commercial and Transportation) group, Military Group, Pakistan Audit and Account Services, and Inland Revenue Services.

Every graduated student can apply for this exam doesn’t matter whether he/she is from Art, Commerce, or Science.

The CSS 2022 Exam Admission has been opened by the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC). According to reports, online registration has begun, and you can mail your printed application form, educational requirements, CNIC, proof of address, and passport-size photos to the FPSC office in Islamabad.

Guidelines for submission of admission, CSS screening test:

1. Applicants who desire or seek a competitive exam shall apply through the FPSC official web page online.
2. Every year admission is announced in the month of Aug/Sep and an application will be accepted in the month of October by the Commission.
3. Take a print of the duly filled online form, and copies of all documents along with the original Treasury Receipt may be affixed to it and sent to FPSC within ten days of the closing date.
4. Those applicants who filled an online application with any wrong information which is not according to the document will be rejected from the Competitive exam.
5. The application fee for the examination is Rs 22, 00/- is paid by the candidate in the nearest Government Treasury or National Bank.
6. The student will carefully select optional subjects if found that lead to rejection of admission. Once subjects are selected by the student shall not be permitted to change after submission of the application.
7. Every applicant intends to apply three times for the Competitive exam. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination without the original CINIC and admission certificate issued by FPSC.
8. Late students are not permitted to take the exam

How to Prepare for CSS Exam?

CSS Exam is not a child’s play. It can be very challenging for many students due to its various aspects such as English and Logical Reasoning which require excellent skills. One must be prepared for all questions, including those based on logical reasoning and English speech.
